| 11/9/2005 - "Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella" Release From VOCOMOTION | ||||||||
|
CHICAGO, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- VOCOMOTION (http://www.vocomotion.com), dedicated
to the development, recording, and promotion of vocal music, today announced
that its latest release "Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella," an all-vocal
version of Pink Floyd's magnum opus "Dark Side of the Moon" will go on sale on
December 1st, 2005.
"When Musical Director Jon Krivitzky asked if I would produce the entire album of Dark Side of the Moon a cappella, I thought he was pretty nuts," said Freddie Feldman, President and Chief Engineer of VOCOMOTION, and producer of "Dark Side of the Moon A Capella" (UPC 837101114745). "I didn't realize what an amazing experience I was about to have." Eight singers and one vocal percussionist perform the entire album. The album was recorded in High Definition, without breaks between the tracks, and is as close to the original timing as possible, in order to preserve its Wizard of Oz compatibility. The album will be available for $12.00 beginning December 1, 2005 at http://www.darksidevoices.com, as well as on CDBaby.com, A-Cappella.com and Amazon.com. "We tried to include the full spectrum of sounds, timbres, and emotions that the human voice is truly capable of making. I assure you every sound you hear was created only by voices. No instruments, no drums, just a cappella. This recording breaks new ground in both the worlds of a cappella and rock." "Outstanding," said Doug Sax, Mastering Engineer for "Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella" who also mastered most of Pink Floyd's original albums. "Absolutely outstanding job!" | ||||||||
